The Life of the Watchman

In the seventeenth chapter of the book of John Jesus prayed a very special prayer and in part of his prayer he ask the Father that he would not take you and I out of the world but that he would keep you and me from the evil that is in the world;

John 17:15 (KJV) 15I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil. 

The word "keep" in this verse is a Greek word which means "a watch" and the word 'evil' is the Greek word for "hurtful"; and what Jesus really ask the Father was that He would put a watch over you and all those that are are under your watch in order to keep you safe from the hurt of this world:

It is also the desire of the Lord that you and I share the watch with Him; and the best thing about watching with the Lord is that he never slumber nor sleeps!!!

Psalms 121:3 (KJV) 3    He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber.

Psalms 121:4 (KJV) 4    Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.

The Lors is watching but he also desires that you and I watch with Him:

Mark 13:37 (KJV) 37And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch.

Matthew 26:38 (KJV) 38Then saith he unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful, even unto death: tarry ye here, and watch with me. 

Matthew 26:40 - 41 (KJV) 40And he cometh unto the disciples, and findeth them asleep, and saith unto Peter, What, could ye not watch with me one hour?  41Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak. 

Jesus entered into the Garden during the time of the mid night watch which was for three hours and started at nine PM and ended at twelve mid night and was followed by the cock crowing watch which started at twelve mid night and ended at three AM:

The Lord was keeping the mid night watch and he asked Peter, James and John to watch with him and all three of them went to sleep on their watch (there is nothing wrong with going to sleep but just don't fall to sleep on your watch because the others are depending on you to keep a good watch;

It was while Peter, James and John was sleeping on their watch that the enemy entered into the garden: It is in the garden where seeds are planted and where harvest are reaped.

For every hour that Peter was sleeping when he should have been watching he denied Jesus

While Men Slept:

Matthew 13:25 (KJV) 25But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way. 

It is while men slept that the enemy came and took prayer out of our schools; it is while men slept that the enemy came and passed laws that slaughtered countless babies while still in their mother's womb; it is while men sleep that thousands of children are living with abuse in the home; is is while men sleep that our children are abducted and murdered; it is while men sleep that same sex marriage laws are being passed

Can you hear the voice of the Lord saying, awake, awake you that sleep and watch with me and together we will stop the enemy in his tracts; together we will make our children safe; together we will make our streets safe to walk and our communities safe to live in; together we will stop the abductor and the child pornography:

• Jesus raised Lazarus from the grave on the grounds that he was Lazarus bodily resurrection and life. If Jesus is your bodily resurrection and life that would me that you have already been bodily resurrected.

Romans 6:7 - 12 (KJV) 7For he that is dead is freed from sin.  8Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him:  9Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him.  10For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God.  11Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.  12Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.
